The Sacred Hearts Extended Day Care Program (SHDC) was founded in 1989 by a small group of parents concerned for the "latch-key" children of Sacred Hearts School. Our purpose is to provide a caring, loving and safe environment at affordable cost to families, and in doing so, also provide a variety of opportunities for children to play and socialize with friends and classmates away from the school setting. SHDC is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services and operates within the rules and requirements of the group day care centers to protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of its children. SHDC is licensed for a capacity of 50 children, ages 4-14; the facility operates 12 months a year during the regular hours of 6:45am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday. The day care staff will make every effort to meet the needs of exceptional children within the limits of facilities and normal staff/child ratios. Whereas the state says that the student/teacher ratio must be at least 1:18, we offer a ratio of 1:10 for staff to children. We invite you and your family to consider joining us and experience the peace of mind that comes from having your child at Sacred Hearts Day Care. ABOUT OUR SUMMER PROGRAM
