We will again participate in "Souper Bowl Sunday", this weekend.  Please help by putting a dollar or two in the soup pots.  Money collected goes to our local food pantry.  Thank You!

St. Vincent de Paul

The mission of the St. Vincent De Paul Society is to aid the poor with their needs in emergency situations such as rent, utilities, furniture, clothing and household items. Money received is used to help Sun Prairie residents. There are collection boxes on the southeast corner of the church for clothing and household items. These are collected by Madison St. Vincent De Paul and distributed by them for all in need.

People in need of assistance may call the Parish Center at 837-7381.

We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the Parish Center. All are welcome to attend.

St. Ann Council of Catholic Women

St. Ann’s was established nearly 100 years ago as St. Ann’s Altar Society. We recently reorganized with an emphasis on being a Council of Catholic Women. We are affiliated with the Madison Diocese Council of Catholic Women and are part of the East Dane Deanery. We now have only two dinner meetings each year. Watch for details at this site or in the bulletin. Dues are just $5.00/year and all women of the Parish are urged to join.

Our activities include operating two booths at our Parish Festival in September of each year. One booth is for raffle items and the other for craft sales. Our other fund raising activity is coordinating a community wide Bridge Marathon.

Monies raised are used for Parish and other charitable causes. We recently donated money to pay for the new Sunday Lectionary. We voted to donate money to landscape around the new construction next Spring. We also donated money to the Sun Prairie Food Pantry.

Sacred Hearts Daycare Program

The Sacred Hearts Extended Day Care Program (SHDC) was founded in 1989 by a small group of parents concerned for the "latch-key" children of Sacred Hearts School.

Our purpose is to provide a caring, loving and safe environment at affordable cost to families, and in doing so, also provide a variety of opportunities for children to play and socialize with friends and classmates away from the school setting.

SHDC is licensed by the Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services and operates within the rules and requirements of the group day care centers to protect and promote the health, safety and welfare of its children.

SHDC is licensed for a capacity of 50 children, ages 4-14; the facility operates 12 months a year during the regular hours of 6:45am - 6:00pm, Monday - Friday.

The day care staff will make every effort to meet the needs of exceptional children within the limits of facilities and normal staff/child ratios. Whereas the state says that the student/teacher ratio must be at least 1:18, we offer a ratio of 1:10 for staff to children.

We invite you and your family to consider joining us and experience the peace of mind that comes from having your child at Sacred Hearts Day Care.

About Our Summer Program

Our Summer Program is like no other program in the area. Our Summer program strives to bring the fun of summer to each and every child that participates.

Parents can rest easy knowing that not only is their child receiving the loving environment of home, but they are also enjoying the benefits of being able to participate in summer programs throughout Sun Prairie.

We provide transportation to summer school and Park & Recreation ballgames. Our children also have the opportunity to participate in swimming lessons, basketball camps, recreational swimming and crafts.

Each summer, we plan weekly themes for our children. It has become a very popular idea and one in which each child loves to participate. We also plan a weekly field trip.

Children love the daily lunches, as well as the snacks that they receive each morning and afternoon.

One of the most unique things we do at Sacred Heart’s Day Care is that we host a family picnic each summer, as well as a sleepover for all of the kids.

Summer is a time when children love to play with their friends and at Sacred Heart’s Day Care, we not only provide the friendships — we provide the family environment of interaction for all ages.
