"Preach the gospel; use words if necessary." This is a phrase that comes to us from St. Francis of Assisi, a man who was known for his preaching, and his ability to give witness to the Catholic faith. In much the same way, our youth have the opportunity to participate in parish-sponsored mission trips each year, giving them the opportunity to put their faith into practice by ministering to Christ's people.
This year, two mission trips took place. One group went to assist the hurricane-ravaged city of New Orleans, and the second group went to the Bronx neighborhood in New York City. Both groups had a wonderful experience, and were able to see first-hand how to bring Christ to those in need.
We would like to thank especially our generous benefactors and donors, and those who remembered us in prayer. Your prayers and financial support were a tremendous blessing to the groups.
