Saturday, December 8th!

Does the thought of baking Christmas Cookies cause your heart to leap for joy?!  Do you have a FAVORITE Christmas Cookie that family and friends look forward to you baking every year?!  Perhaps you’re not a baker, but you are a taster and lover of all the wonderful sweets and treats that the Christmas holidays bring!

What’s a Cookie Walk you ask? Well, it’s kinda like a bake sale – only focused on shareable Christmas treats!

We are looking for people to bake & donate Christmas cookies – find your favorite confection and donate about 5 lbs (this is equivalent to a double or triple batch of the same kind of cookie).  Cookies can be made by people individually or if there is a group that would like to bake together (scouts, moms or dads, friends, school, etc.)  contact Margaret at the Parish Center about use of the church kitchen.

How do I PARTICIPATE?   Use Sign-up Genius to let us know the type of cookie and quantity you intend to bring.    This gives us and other bakers some direction on what is going to be available.  VARIETY is very important!  Festive Christmas cookies, ethnic cookies, and things you don't normally bake throughout the year are great sellers!  ALL cookie donations will need to be dropped off in the Gathering Room by Friday, Dec 7th.  As you know, some cookies can be baked in advance and frozen, so you don’t need to wait until the night before to do your baking!

We will need help Saturday morning with set-up,  during the event, and clean-up.  Use Sign-up Genius and see if you can volunteer for a slot or two to help make this first year a successful one!

How can I BUY cookies?  On Saturday, December 8th, we’ll open our doors at 9:00 am, you can shop the cookie tables, fill a container with those that look like ones you can’t pass up, and we’ll sell cookies for $7.00/pound.  You can buy a few or buy a lot - it's your choice!

WHY should I participate?  It’s a great Community Building event to share your creations with fellow parishioners and see what others bake as their family favorites.  For those that don’t bake, it’s a great way to provide sweets for your holiday dinner without turning on the oven 😊 AND Proceeds from this event will help support our wonderful Youth Ministry programs (particularly Frassati Fest).  Our youth are the future of our Church – and great things are happening with our Youth Ministry!
