Held the second week of August each year (Thursday, Friday & Saturday).
August 9th, Thurs: 8 am to 7 pm
August 10th, Fri: 8 am to 5 pm
August 11th, Sat: 8 am to 3 pm
How Many People Total:
We need approximately 125 volunteers for the three days of the sale. However, more volunteers are needed, beginning in mid-July, to set-up the Rummage Sale and then to sort, price, organize and display the donated items. Our Rummage Sale is a huge undertaking and many volunteers are needed. Currently we are in need of chair people and “department managers” for this fund raiser. ***The Rummage Sale is held in the School Gym and Cafeteria and the Parish garage. The gyn and cafeteria are air conditioned, but NOT handicapped accessible.***
Prior Knowledge Needed:
None (as long as we have chair people to oversee the event), though it would be helpful to have someone on hand with a knowledge of antiques and collectibles so that they may be priced accordingly.
There are many different jobs available at the Rummage Sale. Sorting, washing, mending, hanging, folding, picking up donations such as furniture, etc.
