Held the second week (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) of August each year. 2018 Dates
are: August 9th, 10th, and 11th. The Sale is open Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Many volunteers are needed throughout the summer to ready donations for the sale. ***The Rummage Sale is held in the school gym and cafeteria and the Parish garage. The gym and cafeteria are air conditioned but not handicapped accessible. ***
How Many People Total:
We need approximately 125 volunteers for the three days of the sale. However, more volunteers are needed, beginning in June, to sort, repair, wash or dispose of the donated items. Volunteers are also needed throughout the summer to begin set-up of the Rummage Sale. These volunteers work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-11 a.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Our Rummage Sale is a huge undertaking and many, many volunteers are needed. Currently we are in need of chair people and “department managers” for this fund raiser.
Prior Knowledge Needed:
None (as long as we have chair people to oversee the event), though it would be helpful to have someone on hand with a knowledge of antiques and collectibles so that they may be priced accordingly.
There are many different jobs available at the Rummage Sale. Sorting, washing, mending, hanging, folding, picking up donations such as furniture, etc.
